This two-day virtual workshop is an extension of the COMPLECS webinar series to provide more in-depth discussion and complementary hands-on experience. This opportunity is designed to help users strengthen skills using HPC (High-Performance Computing) systems.
This workshop is primarily focused on users new to HPC to help them navigate and effectively utilize HPC resources. Training accounts for those attending will be provided for the hands-on activities. Topics covered include HPC architecture, file systems, access, parallel computing concepts, data storage and transfer, batch scheduling with Slurm, interactive computing, intermediate Linux, and shell scripting.
- Prerequisites: Experience with Linux and command-line tools
- Who is it for?: This workshop is primarily focused for users new to HPC to help navigate and effectively utilize HPC resources. Specifically looking for users looking for ways to improve understanding and efficiency of their workflows.
