Training classes and workshops introduce new and current users to the high performance computing, data, and visualization resources available at SDSC and provide the programming skills necessary to use SDSC resources effectively and efficiently. Workshops offer experienced users more in-depth instruction, including hands-on assistance with their own codes and collaborative discussions with other users and parallel computing experts.
SDSC training classes are oriented towards experienced computer users who have scientific programming experience. We especially encourage users to become familiar with high-level programming languages, such as Fortran 90, C or C++, on UNIX platforms.
SDSC offers a variety of cyberinfrastructure resources, services and expertise to researchers at UC and UC San Diego. Our datacenter houses a wide range of computational resources, and continues to make leading-edge resources available to the UCSD and broader UC community.
As-you-need-them learning modules from a variety of sources help you use High-Performance and Data-Intensive computing resources for your own research needs.
