In the description of commands in this chapter we have used the phrase:
".... and respond to the standard numeric prompts."
This was done simply to conserve space but we will now illustrate these prompts by two examples.
Examples
Ex.1 Suppose we wish to search for all steroids (class 51).
Please select either a sub-keyword (eg. *YEAR) or logical operator (eg. .EQ.) (Select TO-SEARCH to return to the SEARCH menu.)
Please select a logical operator (such as .EQ. or RANGE) (Select TO-SEARCH to return to the SEARCH menu.)
Please type value :

Ex.2 Suppose we wish to search for all entries corresponding to tetragonal space groups (nos. 75-142).

Please select a logical operator (such as .EQ. or RANGE) (Select TO-SEARCH to return to the SEARCH menu.)
Please type a pair of limiting values, separated by a SPACE or HYPHEN (-).
