I have involved with PRAGMA since it's inception in 2001. In April 2004, I joined PRAGMA officially and have been working in the resources group, mainly to coordinate the effort in building a production global grid - PRAGMA grid among PRAGMA members and friends institutions.

I started working in SDSC in the spring of 1986 as a part-time student. After I graduated from UCSD in June, I started working full-time at SDSC as a network programmer.

From 1990 - 1994, I worked as a system software engineer.

From 1994 - 1997, I was a HPC systems administrator, "babysit" Cray C90 , Cray T3D and AlphaFarm at SDSC

From 1997 - 2004, I was the lead administrator in the PC infrastructure evolution at SDSC. From 1 PC in 1996, to ~400 Windows PC desktops and ~20 Windows servers in 2004, serving SDSC staff and hosting many research or collaborative projects.

I spend most of my spare time on promoting internetworking with China and I'm the owner and moderator of chinanet mailing lists
