Teri Simas is an analyst with the National
Biomedical Computation Resource group, and is the
Program Manager for the Pacific
Rim Applications and Grid Assembly (PRAGMA) project, in
collaboration with SDSC,
UCSD,
the National Science Foundation, and multiple
participating institutions.
In addition, she is the administrative coodinator for
the
OECD/CSTP Follow
up Group on Issues of Sharing of Research Data from Public Funding.
Teri received her Bachelor's in Sociology and Spanish
from Central Washington University
in 1983. She interned as a Juvenile Probation Officer
and worked as an Maternity & Adoption
and Foster Care social worker for several years in Washington
State, prior to returning to her
native San Diego. She has 2 young daughters who
keep her on the go away from work,
and is active in many community activities.
