About My Art
All of the images in the gallery were created using Alias PowerAnimator on a Silicon Graphics
Indigo 2 workstation. They're typically raytraced at 3K horizontal resolution
on a Silicon Graphics Challenge L render engine.
My abstract images are generally freeform experimentations with color, form, light,
and composition to visualize a thought, an idea, or an emotion. My desire is
to create imagery which allows the viewer to feel the essence of the subject
without explicitly seeing it.
My formative images are typically environments which place the viewer in a location
or time not possible in reality or with traditional artistic means. Where the
abstract art hopefully reaches the viewer at an emotional level, the formative
art is designed to allow the viewer to think about the individual elements in the scene, and
their relationships to one another.
Above all else, I create these images because I enjoy it.
I hope others can get as much out of viewing my art as I do in creating it.
