Researchers from the Salk, The Scripps Research Institute, the San Diego Supercomputer Center, and the University of California San Diego are involved in understanding the function of cellular phenomena via linking knowledge across scales from atomic scales associated with individual molecules to protein-protein assemblies to subcellular organelle to cell structures. This understanding is gained by the development and use of computational models, algorithms and techniques. The group of researchers represents expertise in areas of molecular and cellular biology, structural biology, chemistry, biology, neuroscience, computer and mathematical sciences.
