Books on Lloyds or Borgwards   (6/10/95)

Kurze, Peter.  Die Geschichte der Lloyd Mortoren Werke,
Bogenschuetz-Verlag, Bremen, 1992.  ISBN 3-927485-020.  This book is very
nice, has 104 pages, 80 pictures.  It does have some statistics on the
cars (number produced, techinical information...) It also has a reasonable
number of references in the back.  It is still available, 24,80 DM. 

Kurze, Peter. Lloyd, Kleinwagen aus Bremen.  Kurze-Schoenholz- und
Ziesemer Verlagsgesellschaft. Bremen. 1995.  ISBN 3-931148-904.  This book
just hit the street.  Evidently Kurze took over a photo archive of about
12,000 photos.  This book, with 104 pages, has about 300 photos.   39,80 DM

Mayer, Hans W.  Lloyd, Vom Elektromodil zur Arabella, Motorbuch Verlag,
Stuttgart, 1989.  ISBN 3-613-01264-2.  Lloyd cars were actually produced
very early in the century.  This book gives an overview of the Lloyd from
beginning to the end (the Arabella) and beyond.  It has a lot of data on
number of cars produced and the technical specs. 75 DM. 

Eberwein/Tholen:  Lloyd-Leute und Leukoplastbomber, Selbstverlag.  ISBN 3-
926028-084.  It seems to be a discussion with people involved with the
Lloyd manufacturing.  The pictures are good, the price is right.  15 DM,
43 pages.  When I tried to order this, it was out of print.  However,
according to the May, 1995 issue of Oldtimer Markt, it is availabe -
although the publisher has changed. 

Kubisch, Ulrich, and Volker Janssen.  Borgward Ein Blick Zurueck auf
wirtschaftswunder, werksalltag und einen automythos.  Elefanten Press,
Berlin. ISBN 3-88520-121-6.  This book was also out of print 2 years ago.
Who knows now.  It give an overview of the Borgward group (Borgward,
Goliath, and Lloyd).  161 pages.

Lloyd Arbeit im Wirtschaftswunder.  Steintor. Bremen, 1987.  ISBN
