Chemistry 140ABC (Organic Chemistry) is a three quarter sequence designed as an introduction to organic chemistry. The textbook is Organic Chemistry, by Brown and Foote, 2nd ed. Our goal in 140A is to cover chapters 1-8 and the topics of structure and bonding, acids and bases, alkanes, stereochemistry, alkenes, alkyl halides, and nucleophillic reactions.
