The Data Visualization Builder
is a tool that assists users with converting data into a visual form.
This tool guides the user through the process
of specifying the characteristics of the data. Based on those
characteristics, the tool recommends one or more visualization
techniques that are appropriate for that data. After the user selects
a visualization technique, the tool recommends a visualization
software package and a hardware resource. Finally, the tool provides
information about how to use the software package and how to access
the hardware resource.

The Data Visualization Builder guides you through the following steps.

Request information about the characteristics of the data.
|
|
Request information about the format of the data file.
|
|
Recommend an appropriate visualization technique for that data.
|
|
Recommend an appropriate visualization package.
|
|
Recommend hardware resources and provide information on those resources.
|
|
|
|
Note that this tool is designed for beginning to intermediate users
interested in applying common used visualization techniques to 2D and 3D
scalar data sets over regular grids.
