Apply for an AAP Allocation

The Academic Associates Program is intended for startup, porting, proof of concept projects, or any other projects with relatively small computing time requirements. Your request for computing time (CPU hours) will be evaluated based on pre-determined limits for each University of California (UC) campus under the AAP program. Once you obtain an account, you will have access to SDSC Consulting. To avoid delays, please reapply early when extending your access to SDSC resources. When you are nearing the end of your AAP term:

  1. Renew using the AAP application form below or
  2. Apply for an SDSC Allocation.

Compute Resources:
  • Recommended location for temporary storage is GPFS (for I/O files)
  • CAUTION: GPFS is purged every 3 days. Please move files to HPSS.
  • Access to HPSS tape storage is included with compute allocation.
