BlueGene Applications Workshop
General Description
San Diego (April 5 - 6, 2007) - San Diego Supercomputer Center
The objective of the BlueGene (BG) Workshop is to provide users with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the BlueGene System, as well as learn about highly scalable new scientific simulations being done on BG machines available at various sites in the US and in other countries. SDSC recently expanded its BlueGene System to over 6000 processors. This workshop will provide an opportunity to use such a highly scalable machine as a path towards future peta-scale systems.
The topics include:
- Intro to BG architecture
- Using BG at SDSC
- Maximizing node performance
- Debugging on BG
- Scaling on BG - User Experience
Speakers will be from SDSC and LLNL.
See the BlueGene Applications Workshop Schedule for details.
