Data will be migrated in phases from HPSS to SAM-QFS during the Archive Migration.  During the evaluation period in July 2009, you will receive a list of directories to aid in deciding which data to keep.  You may use ls to look at directory contents.  However, please do not use hsi get to retrieve your files.

If you need to retrieve your files during this period, please contact consult@sdsc.edu and we will retrieve your file for you.

Starting in August 2009, HPSS will be read-only. During your migration phase, you will not be able to access your data at all. After your phase of migration is complete, you will be able to access your data on SAM-QFS.

Users are encouraged to use the list of diretories that will be sent in July to determine which data you wish to have preserved.  Please refrain from accessing HPSS as much as possible during this time to facilitate an efficient migration with minimum impact on the system.
