Sierra User Guide: Storage Overview

Home File System

After logging in, users are placed in their home directory, /N/u/, also referenced by the environment variable $HOME. The home directory is limited in space. If users need more space, please email help@futuregrid.org and request a storage increase. ZFS snapshots are performed nightly.

Scratch Space

Each compute node has 58 GB of local scratch storage at /scratch and 100 GB of networked scratch storage at /N/scratch/<username>.
