SAS Enterprise Miner
SAS Enterprise Miner is a data mining tool installed on Thor. In order to use SAS, you must have a valid SDSC login account and SDSC compute or data allocation and an account on Thor. To request an account, submit a ticket through the online form.
Starting SAS
- Log on to thor.sdsc.edu
- Navigate to /opt/SAS/SASAPCore/apps/EnterpriseMiner/bin/ and run em.
% cd /opt/SAS/SASAPCore/apps/EnterpriseMiner/bin/
% ./em - When the Enterprise Miner environment launches, select the Personal Workstation option.
There is an alternate SAS environment installed in /opt/SAS/SAS_9.1/bin. From that directory, launch sas_en.
