Libraries

There are numerous libraries are available in /usr/local/apps and /usr/local/apps/lib. Some important libraries are the following:

IBM Library Description
ESSL and PESSL manuals
(Engineering and Scientific Subroutine Library)
IBM's ESSL/PESSL libraries.
MASS/MASSV
(Mathematical Acceleration Subsystem)
IBM's MASS and MASSV libraries contain math routines that have been optimized for Blue Gene.
FFTW
(Fastest Fourier Transform in the West)
Both single- and double-precision versions of FFTW 2.1.5 and 3.1.2 are available. This library has FFTs that are generally slower than those in ESSL.

To invoke some of the preceding libraries, use the following link command:

–Wl,––allow–multiple–definition –L/usr/local/apps/lib –lmassv –lmass –lesslbg
