Conference Facilities

SDSC's conference facilities include a high-tech conference room with sophisticated teleconferencing gear and multi-screen Access Grid connectivity, muliple conference rooms with available videoteleconferencing (VTC) equipment, a large visualization suite, and a training lab. A 200-seat auditorium can be configured into smaller spaces for gatherings, both large and small.

Conference facilities are available for rental to both the UCSD and non-UCSD communities.

Auditorium Standard Setup

Seating for up to 200 in a combination of armed and tablet seating. Rectangular and café tables on north and west walls.

Auditorium Special Setup

Options include:
Classroom style: seating for 50 people at rows of tables (2 per table) with power strips and facing projection screen.

Angled tables: seating for 160 people around square tables (8 per table). Café tables on north and west walls.

U-Shape with Room Divider: seating for 24 people at tables with power strips. Two registration tables and 4 catering tables.

Outdoor Patio: seating for 32 people around twelve 60" round tables with four umbrellas.

*Additional hourly costs will apply for setup and teardown of interior and exterior furniture configuration. Any special setup takes 3-4 hours. There is no additional rental fee to use the patio.

19 desktop computers, 1 instructor station; Total seating capacity 25 people. Room configuration cannot be modified or changed.
