Computing & Storage
SDSC supports several of America's largest, fastest, and most capable research-oriented computational environments in fulfilling its mission to develop and apply technology to advance science. SDSC's high performance machines are available to researchers nationally through TeraGrid allocations or to University of California researchers through the Academic Associates Program (AAP).
SDSC also maintains a diverse array of database, computing, storage, and Web server resources dedicated to specific programs and internal development efforts. These include projects in bioinformatics research and services, data mining, digital libraries, and software development for grids and clusters. SDSC runs 125 websites that serve 13 million page views from 250,000 users per month.
