TITLE>The Extensible Classes
The Extensible classes serve as a wrapper to encapsulate the corresponding intrinsic classes through inheritance. The Extensible classes hide the Intrinsic classes, which contains the implementation level detail, from other parts of the library, and user programs. The Iterative classes operate on these extensible wrapper classes and provide navigational facilities of the objects representing the macromolecular structure. The name of the extensible class associated with the intrinsic class is identified by simply removing the Intr from the intrinsic classes name. Only object constructors and destructors are supplied for extensible classes in the PDBlib library.
