Effective Use of the PDB

Queries are of 3 types:

1. From the PDBid as quoted in a paper
2. From one or more keywords (SearchLite)
3. From a detailed Query Form (SearchFields)

Options 2 and 3 permit iterative query - The output from one query can be used as input to the next

Query results lead to:

• Structure Explorer - details of a single structure or
• Query Result Browser - for multiple structures
