Structural Genomics PipelineThe bacterium Thermatoga maritima, which thrives in environments once considered too hot for life, is a target of choice at the Joint Center for Structural Genomics (JCSG) for high-throughput pipeline development and genome-wide structural annotation. JCSG scientists have embarked on a new realm of exploration to determine the 3-D structures of the Thermatoga maritima proteome at an atomic level. SDSC provides infrastructure for the data mining, centralized databases, and web-based systems necessary for managing the large amounts of data generated in this important research. Credits: C.
