The Biology Workbench

The Biology Workbench is a free web-based tool for biologists and a significant bioinformatics resource. The Biology Workbench contains a large array of databases and computational tools that are most useful to the molecular biology community for sequence analysis. All the popular public protein and nucleic databases are included and they have robust search capabilities. Database searching is integrated with access to a wide variety of analysis and modeling tools, all within a point-and-click interface that eliminates file format compatibility problems. There are dozens of tools that perform sequence analysis, homology searches, alignments and secondary structure/transmembrane domain predictions. The sequence data can be moved seamlessly between different tools and it can be also stored in user's session files.
