Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Marine Biology Research

Abstract:
I will be talking about the Digital Fish Library project (http://www.digitalfishlibrary.org/) to image and catalogue digitally the Marine Vertebrate collection at SIO and the difficulties with image visualization, segmentation, and analysis of high resolution MR images. I will also discuss the issues of developing a web-based catalogue and an integrated scientific and educational site.
