Shape

The SHAPE package, written in C, consists of two programs: surfractal which calculates fractal atomic density, and maxaccess which calculates maximal sphere accessibility. Together they can be used to analyze structure and chemistry at the molecular surface. These programs can also be used easily as front ends for graphics programs such as Insight II and AVS. Along with the SHAPE package, SDSC will be distributing the SHAPE filter programs for Insight and AVS. This software will be free for academic users, but you must sign and return a license before accessing SHAPE.
