The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), associated software systems and documentation are proprietary products for which the copyright is held by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) located at 12 Union Road, Cambridge CB2 1EZ, U.K.

No part of the database, software, documentation or command procedures supplied under a licence-to-use may be divulged, released, or otherwise transmitted to any third party without prior permission from the CCDC.

Conditions restricting the use of the database, software, and command procedures are laid out in the licence-to-use.

All persons accessing the system should make themselves aware of these conditions.


Academic institutions should obtain the CSD system from their National Affiliated Centre. The addresses of National Affiliated Centres are available from the Administrative Secretary at the CCDC.

The CSD System is also available to industrial and other organisations via an annual leasing agreement. Potential users in this category should contact Dr. Olga Kennard F.R.S., Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), 12 Union Road, Cambridge CB2 1EZ, U.K.
