START is used to initiate a database search in 3 situations:
It is important to note that if tests have been defined and screens selected then if you select START the search will proceed but only the screens will be used in determining hits - the tests will be ignored.
Graphics QUEST3D Procedure
Ex.1 Suppose you have selected screen 49 and not defined any tests.
Now searching D/B .....The first hit to be registered will be an entry corresponding to a neutron study (screen 49).
Ex.2 Suppose you have defined a test and not selected any screens.
XXXXX ERROR 588 - STARt what? Now continue (or type "EXIT" to finish)
The SEARCH menu is restored.
Ex.1
SCRE 49 STAR
This will register hits for all neutron studies.
Ex.2
T1 *BCLA .EQ. 51 STAR
The following error message is displayed:
