PRINT REFC

PRINT REFC is used to specify that only the reference codes and number of hits are displayed as the search proceeds.

Basic QUEST Procedure

The equivalent command in Basic QUEST is discussed under PRINT.

Graphics QUEST3D Procedure

Ex. Suppose you have defined a search question based on the single test:

T1  *SURN  JACOBSON

• Select REFC

  An example of the hit display might be:

  >Hit = ACXBCD
  >Hit = ADCDNO
  >Hit = ADCDNO10
               3 hits after  1000 entries,  97% screenout at ADIPAM10
  >Hit = AGCNIA
  >Hit = AGCNIB
  >Hit = AHMPCU
  >Hit = ALDCAR
  >Hit = ALTOCO
  >Hit = AMIDTH
               9 hits after  2000 entries,  97% screenout at AMTHZL
               9 hits after  3000 entries,  97% screenout at AZFAPD10
  >Hit = AZINPM
  ......................................................
  ......................................................

This print option corresponds to a fast continue search mode with display only of the reference codes of hits; also the number of hits after every 1000 entries and an indication of the percentage screenout at every 1000th entry.

No information is output to the journal file.
