Function

REBUILD-FRAG allows you to use an already-defined fragment test as the basis for the construction of a new fragment test.

Ex. Suppose you have defined a fragment consisting of a complicated alkaloid skeleton.

Before composing the search question other tests may have been defined and the alkaloid fragment has been erased from the screen with the CLEAR command.

You now wish to build a new fragment which is closely related to the original alkaloid skeleton.

The procedure might then be:

Select REBUILD-FRAG

Please select a test, whose contents will become the current fragment.

Select the test involving the alkaloid skeleton.
The QUEST sub-menu is replaced by the BUILD or SEARCH menu with the alkaloid skeleton displayed.
You can now modify this skeleton as required and define a new test.

Note that if you originally selected QUEST from the BUILD menu you will be returned to the BUILD menu; otherwise you will be returned to the SEARCH menu.

Note that REBUILD-FRAG erases any current fragment which was present before you selected QUEST.
