Function

*ZVALUE is used to test for a specified Z-value, ie. number of formula units per unit cell.

The Z value is the number of formula units per unit cell and is related to the crystal density D by

D = Z x FW x 1.660/V

Select *ZVALUE from the NUMERIC sub-menu and respond to the standard numeric prompts.

Basic QUEST Procedure

Ex.

T1 *ZVAL .EQ. 32.0

This will register hits for all entries having Z=32

Note that the value of Z in a *ZVAL test must be expressed as a floating-point number.
