Function

*MAXATOMICNO is used to test the value of the maximum atomic number present in an entry.

Graphics QUEST3D Procedure

Select *MAXATOMICNO from the NUMERIC sub-menu and respond to the standard numeric prompts.

Basic QUEST Procedure

Ex.

T1 *MAXA .LE. 17

This will register hits for all entries having maximum atomic number less than or equal to 17 (chlorine).

Normally such a test would not constitute the total search query. Rather it could be used, in conjunction with other tests, to exclude 'heavy-atom' structures.
