*CATFLAG

*CATFLAG is used to test for a specified value of the category flag.

CSD Contents

At present all CSD entries released to users have a category flag value of 3.

This indicates that the data correspond to fully determined structures.

In the master database maintained at the CCDC two other categories of entries are also stored:

category 1

entries for which no structure has been determined, only unit cell data.

category 2

entries corresponding to "qualitative" structure determinations eg. old single-projection studies and other partial structure determinations.

Select *CATFLAG from the NUMERIC sub-menu and respond to the standard numeric prompts.

Basic QUEST Procedure

Ex.

T1 *CATF  .EQ.  3

This will register hits for all entries having a category flag value of 3.

Such a test would, at present, be used only by CCDC staff.

SCRE  66

This will register hits for all entries having a category flag value of 3.
