ELEMENT TYPES

These options allow you to alter the element types of atoms - normally applied to individual atoms.

Example

Suppose we have constructed the fragments in (i) - see below.

Suppose we wish to change the O atom to S.

• Select ATOM

  Select S

• Please use the cursor to select an ATOM
  (Select another command to end ELEMENT editing)

• Select the O atom

  The fragment is now as in (ii)

  

Suppose WHOLE was active in (i)

• Select S

  The fragment is now as in (iii)
