BOND TYPES

These options allow you to alter the types of bonds between two atoms.

Example

Suppose we have constructed the fragments in (i) and wish to change the single bonds in the 6-membered ring to aromatic.

• Select BOND

  Select AROM

• Please use the cursor to select a BOND
  (Select another command to end BOND TYPE editing)

• Select each of the bonds in the 6-membered ring

  The fragment is now as in (ii)

• Select AROM

  The fragment (i) is replaced by the fragment (ii).
