Volume 2 Chapter 4 Display Menus RENDER REFRESH and RENDER RESET
This display command is located in the 3D display for each hit.
It allows you to define the range of cells to be displayed with PACK.
Whereas the PACK button displays the contents of one unit cell the SET-PACK button allows the user to define ranges along each of the axes A,B,C and thereby display the contents of several unit cells.
Ex.
Enter minimum and maximum values along A axis (separated by either a space or comma) or press <RETURN> to keep the current values : [0.000 1.000]
Enter minimum and maximum values along B axis (separated by either a space or comma) or press <RETURN> to keep the current values : [0.000 1.000]
Enter minimum and maximum values along C axis (separated by either a space or comma) or press <RETURN> to keep the current values : [0.000 1.000]
The above dialogue results in the ranges 0 to 1; -1 to 2; 0 to 1.
With these ranges, the contents of 3 unit cells are displayed but only one unit cell is outlined. This is illustrated on the facing page.
Note that the values can be entered as real numbers or integers.
Having defined ranges using SET-PACK these values are now the current settings and will be used in any subsequent PACK display until redefined with SET-PACK.
It should be noted that a maximum of 1000 atoms can be displayed.
