Volume 2 Chapter 4 Display Menus LABEL ALL and LABEL LIST

Function

These display commands are located in the 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

They allow you to label all atoms or specified elements of the 3D crystal diagram.

Note that clicking on an individual atom will display its label. Clicking again toggles off the label.

It should also be noted that when a particular style of labelling is chosen and the current hit kept or rejected then the next hit encountered will use the same labelling style in the 3D crystal diagram display.

When the first hit is encountered the stick representation of the crystal diagram is not labelled but simply colour-coded as follows:

green carbon: white hydrogen
red oxygen: blue nitrogen
yellow sulfur: magenta all other elements

ALL

Ex.

Select ALL
All atoms in the 3D crystal diagram are labelled.
The labels correspond to those held in the current hit for the atomic coordinates,
eg.

```

LIST

Are elements to be (E)xcluded or (I)ncluded?

Type E <R>

For elements other than carbon and hydrogen all atom labels are displayed.

Atom labels are displayed only for carbon and hydrogen atoms.

Note that special element group symbols are not allowed.
