Function

ADD-CATEGORY allows users to add their own "set" of templates to a CSD template file.

The following 20 categories are provided in the "master" QUEST3D template file:

31-Ring-systems
45-Carbohydrates
47-Nucleosides/tides
48a-Amino-acids
48b-Terminal-groups
49-Porphyrins
51-Steroids
60-Charge-transfers
62-Boron-cages
71-Carbon-ligands
76-Ethylenediamines
77,78-ACAC,SAL-ligs
79,80-S-ligands
83-N-ligands
84-Hetero-O-rings
86-P-ligands
Acids
Ions
Pi-ligands
Solvates

The numbers refer to the CSD chemical class numbers (See Appendix 2 for the full list).

The master template file may not be modified. Please read the section in "WRITE-TEMPLATE" entitled "Creating Your Own Template File" for instructions on creating a template file which you may modify.

Example

Suppose you are working on a project, and you wish to add some templates for this purpose.

Select TEMPLATE in the BUILD menu.
Select ADD-CATEGORY

Please type name of new category.
(Press <RETURN> if you don't want to add a category)

Type Project1 <R>

The menu area is erased, and the template categories are redrawn, with Project1 added.

Notes

The maximum number of categories allowed in a single file is 30.

The maximum number of characters allowed in a category name is 20.
