Function

CLEAR is used to delete the entire structure currently displayed in the drawing area.

Example

Select CLEAR

Are you sure you wish to CLEAR the entire structure ? [N]

Type Y <R>

The drawing area is now blank and the current element and bond types are re-set to C and SING. Also, if any constraints have been placed on the structure (such as NUMBER-OF-FRAGS, SAME-RESIDUE, ALLBOND, NO-CYCLIC-ROUTES, NO-LINKS ) then these are cancelled by CLEAR.

In the above CLEAR dialogue a response of N will leave the drawing area unchanged.
