11.1 Graphics QUEST3D

11.1.1 Continuation of the Search

When a hit is displayed, as shown below, a number of commands are available for the continuation of the search. These are fully described in chapter 4 of Vol.2 but their functions will be summarised here.

11.1.1.1 CONTROL KEEP

CONTROL KEEP is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to keep the current hit, write appropriate information to the output file(s) and continue the search.

Ex.

11.1.1.2 CONTROL REJECT

CONTROL REJECT is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to reject the current hit and continue the search.

Ex.

11.1.1.3 FAST NODIAG

FAST NODIAG is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end of the database displaying, for each hit, the reference information in the current display mode.

Ex.

11.1.1.4 FAST DIAG

FAST DIAG is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end of the database displaying, for each hit, diagrams and reference information in the current display mode.

11.1.1.5 FAST REFCOD

FAST REFCOD is located in the 2D display for each hit.

It allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end of the database displaying, for each hit, the reference code.

Note that the display of hit statistics after every 1000 entries applies strictly only to the MIP implementation.

11.1.1.6 FAST HIT-STATS

FAST HIT-STATS is located in the 2D display for each hit.

It allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end of the database displaying only the hit statistics after every 1000 entries.

11.1.2 Termination of the Search

11.1.2.1 CONTROL EXIT

CONTROL EXIT is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to exit from the search; the current hit is not accepted (kept).

Ex.

11.1.2.2 CONTROL STOP

CONTROL STOP is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to stop the search after keeping or rejecting the current hit.

Ex.

11.1.2.3 CONTROL QUIT

CONTROL QUIT is located in the 2D, 3D and 2D/3D displays for each hit.

It allows you to quit the search and return to the BUILD or SEARCH menu.
