Graphics QUEST3D Procedure
In QUEST3D the commands which control the continuation or termination
of the search are located in the DISPLAY menus, grouped under FAST and
CONTROL, as shown below.
The functions of these commands can be summarised as follows:
FAST
- DIAG
- allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end
of the database displaying, for each hit, diagrams and reference information
in the current display mode.
- NODIAG
- allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end
of the database displaying, for each hit, the reference information in the
current display mode.
- REFCOD
- allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode to the end
of the database displaying, for each hit, the reference code.
- HIT-STATS
- allows you to proceed with the search in a fast continue mode
to the end of the database displaying only the hit statistics after every
1000 entries.
CONTROL
- KEEP
- allows you to keep the current hit and continue the search.
- REJECT
- allows you to reject the current hit and continue the search.
- STOP
- allows you to stop the search after keeping or rejecting the current hit.
- EXIT
- allows you to exit from the search; the current hit is not accepted (kept).
- QUIT
- allows you to quit the search and return to the BUILD or SEARCH menu.
- USE-AS-QUERY
- allows you to use the 2D chemical diagram of the current hit as the starting
point for a new search.
Basic QUEST Procedure
In QUEST you type a single-letter code to effect the appropriate
actions:
- for NODIAG type P
- for REFCOD type C
- for HIT-STATS type F
- for KEEP type K
- for REJECT type R
- for STOP type S
- for EXIT type E
- for QUIT type Q
DIAG and USE-AS-QUERY are not available in QUEST.
