Volume 2 Chapter 2 2D-Constrain Sub-menu ALL-EXACT
CHARGE is used to specify the charge on an atom.
Example
Suppose we wish to search for methanides of the type:

Suppose we have built the fragment:

Please type the CHARGE: (e.g. +1; -2; 0; 49 = any - ; 50 = any charge; 51 = any +) (Press <RETURN> to mean "Unspecified") You may use multiple values, separated by SPACE or COMMA
-1 appears in the CHARGE box
Move the cursor over the required ATOM and click a BUTTON. (Select another command to end CHARGE)

If you later wish to remove the charge from the C atom:
Press <RETURN>
Select C atom
Thus -1, -2 would mean that an atom has a charge of -1 or -2.
